About

This month, Discovery commemorates one of the most important dates in modern history – the 75th anniversary of the declaration of VE Day with two original commissions premiering on 8th May.

Tony Robinson’s VE Day: Minute by Minute is a one-hour special which looks at how the news broke that war in Europe was over and how it spread around the world.

Combat Dealers: VE Day Special sees British Army paratrooper and military history enthusiast and collector, Bruce Crompton is determined to celebrate the most important victory in history.

Complimentary programming will feature throughout the day on Friday 8th May, and the afternoon of Sunday 10th May including Greatest Events of World War II, Wings of War, Churchill and Me and World War II in Colour.
