A long time dog musher, Jason also holds the British record for the world’s most northern 500km dog sled race, which is 300 miles north of the Arctic Circle. Jason is a motivational speaker who regularly lectures at the Royal Geographical Society about his numerous experiences and expeditions.

Jason “JT” Thomas

Jason "JT" Thomas, a Minnesota native and copywriter based in Canada, became the third member of the three-man team of polar explorers when he beat out over 10,000 other entrants for the Thomson Reuters South Pole Expedition Contest.

As the greenhorn of the bunch, he admittedly had never camped in snow before winning the contest. JT must quickly prepare for this grueling challenge.

He is a full team member of the South Pole Expedition, which offers the ultimate challenge in the most pristine and unexplored environment on the planet. He’s excitable, nervous, and hasn’t told his wife the full details of what he’s about to put himself through.
