We’ve searched far and wide to bring you a round-up of all the weird and wonderful happenings across the globe this May.

This month we fly a jetwing jet pack over Rio de Janiero, light up the Life Ball in Austria and mark personal independence in South Korea with the 40th Coming of Age day.

Meanwhile back in the UK we pick up the Olympic torch in Lands End and bake a Queen Elizabeth pixelated portrait cake.
