THE HEAT IS ON
Cooling off by an open fire hydrant looks like fun but eastern parts of the US and Canada had to issue an excessive heat warning this July. At least 22 people have died as a result of the heat, with temperatures climbing to as high as 108F (43C). The temperature has been coupled with oppressive humidity, making it feel even hotter.
