CHAMPION: SEAN CONWAY
How many of us have been to both John O'Groats and Land's End? A few of us, for sure. But how many people have cycled from one to the other, swum all the way back, and run all the way back again for good measure?
Just one - and that's the incredible Sean Conway.
In spring 2015, Sean completed the final leg of the world's first ever length-of-Britain triathlon on his second attempt. Running over 1000 miles, from the tip of Scotland to the furthest south-west of England, Sean completed his journey in 44 days, carrying everything he needed on his back. Most recently, he sailed the length of Britain in three days.
Sean is a Make Your World Bigger Champion not only for being an exceptional athlete, but for setting himself outlandish goals and never failing to complete them. Well done from all at Discovery, Sean - you're amazing.

WHO OR WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST INSPIRATION?
Fear of just existing on this planet. I did that for too long throughout my twenties. I now want to fill my life with experiences rather than stuff. Anyone who follows their dream, against the odds, inspires me.
WHAT MOTIVATES YOU?
I am motivated by attempting challenges that seem far beyond my capabilities. It’s very personal. I enjoy the challenge of going from not being very good at something, to being very good at it. The human body and mind is a wonderful thing and I want to make the most of it.
WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN LIFE?
Happiness is the most important thing. And to achieve happiness, you need purpose. No matter what it is, find your purpose and then do everything in your power to achieve. That will make you happy.
WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY?
Seeing my cycle computer ticking over the 200 mile mark. That makes me happy.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR TOUGHEST MOMENT?
Getting run over while cycling across America. Both physically and mentally, that was really tough for me to get over.
WHAT IS YOUR MOST TREASURED MEMORY?
Having a wonderful family, Martin and Missey Carey, take me in and look after me after I got run over. It’s mostly the people you meet that make your adventure what it is - 99.9% of people in the world are awesome.
WHAT'S THE BEST ADVICE YOU'VE EVER BEEN GIVEN?
Take photos and write a diary because no matter how amazing it is at the time, you will forget it one day.
WHAT TIPS WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHERS WANTING TO MAKE THEIR WORLD BIGGER?
Don’t overthink it, otherwise you may never go. I say just do it. You’ll be surprised how easily you’ll not only cope, but thrive once you leave your little comfort zone.
WHAT'S THE MOST IMPORTANT LESSON LIFE HAS TAUGHT YOU?
Don’t let other people’s opinions of your ability, or your idea, stop you doing what you want to do. There are many, many people who will try to put out your fire. Don’t listen to them. Follow your heart, work hard and you’ll achieve your dreams.
WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THE FUTURE?
It’s top secret!
